About synthwavelab
synthwavelab exists to answer one question: which AI music tools are actually worth your money?
The AI music space exploded — generators, voice tools, mastering services, stem separators. Every one of them claims to be revolutionary. Most reviews you’ll find are thinly disguised ads written by people who never opened the tool.
We do it differently.
How we review
We test with real use cases. Our comparisons are built around the questions creators actually ask: Can I monetize this on YouTube? Does the license survive if I cancel? Does it fit a $15/month budget?
We tell you what’s bad. Every tool on this site has documented weaknesses in its review. A recommendation means nothing if it’s never paired with criticism.
We stay current. AI tools change monthly. We update our reviews and comparisons as pricing, features, and licensing evolve.
Who’s behind this
synthwavelab is run by Boubou, a Twitch streamer and music creator. I’ve spent years building interactive experiences for my community — designing games, producing sounds, and testing more creative tools than I can count along the way.
That experience taught me two things: the right tool can transform your workflow, and most tool marketing is noise. When AI music tools started flooding the market, I found myself testing them for my own projects anyway — so I started writing down what actually works, what doesn’t, and what’s worth paying for.
That’s what this site is. No hype, no recycled press releases — just honest takes from someone who actually uses this stuff.
